In this DVD you will learn self-defense skills that are practical and effective. Learn how to use pressure points (part of the science of utilizing anatomical weak points for self-defense). Even though you’re a skilled martial artist, certain places can still make you feel uneasy. The idea of being attacked with a weapon when you don’t have one can be frightening. Try taking a magazine with you. A rolled-up magazine is a solid and powerful weapon that will boost your confidence dramatically. We will show you how to do this correctly and safely.
Say for example you’re being attacked with a knife; you could throw your jacket over the attacker’s face to distract and blind him, allowing you to more easily defend yourself. This DVD will show you the right way to do this.
This DVD shows over 80 defenses against various attacks using everyday items. Some of the items you will also learn include a pen, fan, cane (or umbrella), and rope. You will learn defense against all manner of attacks, both armed and unarmed.
You will learn the benefit of throwing readily available, everyday items such as a credit card. As an example, if you’re being attacked by a knife-wielding assailant intent on robbing you, as you pull out your wallet you can throw the credit card at weak points on his body (such as the eyes). Or if someone is holding a gun (not pointing at you), you could throw the card to distract him, buying you valuable time. This item is small, but used correctly, it is a powerful a weapon. This concept and the details of how to implement them are clearly given in the DVD.
Weapons are thrown at various targets and at various distances. For example, you will practice throwing stars into swinging apples and knives into hanging pumpkins. This type of targeting is in addition to the more familiar static targets. You will also learn how to practice throwing multiple weapons simultaneously. This DVD will teach you how to progress up to and through practicing blindfolded. You will learn how to throw the star, axe, knife (and knives), sai, kama, nunchuck, and credit card.
